The guys over on the WSS team finally announced a new build of visual studio extensions for WSS (VSeWSS) and support for Visual Studio 2008. YES!!! i can finally now uninstall old visual studio 2005 (Well, maybe not just yet).
You can download version 1.2 of the extensions here and rock on with Visual Studio 2008!
-Update: Well, my jubilation was short lived, I guess this version does not support 64bit versions
